Up until two weeks ago, I’d only seen one James Bond film—a Pierce Brosnan one. In my opinion, it was a good one, but according to Matt, it didn’t count. 🙂 He said that I needed to watch Sean Connery and establish my opinion on Bond from there. So, we chose a night, cooked dinner, and rented From Russia With Love. I was hooked! After seeing it, I knew what was coming next: Skyfall starring Daniel Craig. Matt and I made it another date night: First the movie, then hot cocoa from The Chocolate Room in Brooklyn. I adored Daniel Craig as Bond—he is so fun to watch!

Happy day before Thanksgiving, my darling readers! What are you doing to celebrate this holiday? I hope you are savoring good food, good company and friends. Two weeks ago, I was the lucky recipient of the most delicious gift: a meal — delivered to my office door — by Farmers Market Fix. Founded by Cathy, this delightful service aims to bring fresh and local food to all New Yorkers looking to get (wait for it) their farmers market fix. Sign up for the weekly newsletter, choose from one of Cathy’s mouth-watering recipes, and enjoy the fun when all the ingredients (and spices!) get delivered to your office door the day you plan to cook. Matt and I tried the Grass-fed Steak with Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Smashed Potatoes. We were so pleased with our choice! And to walk in the door after a long day with all the ingredients in hand was a treat. And such a fun date night, too! 

I can’t help posting a couple of snaps from the weekend in Central Park. Fall is almost over, but there are still a few lone trees that are standing strong and holding onto their leaves. The range of colors is absolutely breathtaking, especially when the sun hits the branches just right. It’s hard to believe that soon enough all these leaves will be gone, replaced by snow!
