My morning hair routine goes something like this: Wash it, blow it dry, flat iron it, add hairspray to smooth fly-aways and…done. It sounds like a lot, but it actually takes me about 10 minutes — one of the few perks of having fine hair. This weekend, my sister’s BFF (who happens to have the most lustrous locks) corrected my approach: She said that post-blow dry, I should spritz on hair spray (dab it on my hands if I have to) before I flat iron my hair. Not after.
It might have been her hairspray (she swears by Dove’s flexible hold), but it worked like a charm. Even with the spitting rain, the whole night out I had zero frizz.
I’m going to put the trick to the test this week — NYC elements are the worst — but definitely an interesting tactic, right?
