You guys: I am so sorry for the blogging interruption. This fall has been on overdrive with work and wedding planning and travel and fun friends in town. But it’s no excuse! I said I’d be back in October…and technically, it’s still October, right? 😉
I figured I’d share a quick peek at what I’ve been up to before returning to regularly scheduled blog programming. If you’re interested, read on…
I had a birthday…and discovered the insanely talented Robin McKelle at (where else?) Joe’s Pub. Seriously, this lady is crazy talented. Here’s one of my favorite tunes that she performed. Take a listen!
I invested in (and have been successfully caring for!) an elephant ear plant in my home. I bought it in Red Hook from the owner of Red Hook Garden Center. He gave me a great deal and also instilled major confidence in my plant tending ability. I needed it. 😉
I went to the Hamptons to hit the beach and take in the last glorious summer sunset (seriously, it dropped to 36 degrees this past weekend!).
I daydreamed a lot about a honeymoon in Paris (we’ve narrowed it down to France and Portugal. Wahoo!). That’s pretty much the only part of wedding planning where it feels like we’re making progress…
But mostly, I’ve just been doing a lot of running (and writing) in and around Brooklyn. I’m actually running a 5-miler in Central Park in less than a week. Wish me luck!
OK, so that’s basically it — fill me in on what you’ve been up to when you have a chance. I’ve missed you guys!
xo
Hope the 5-miler went well!
