Brunch Page: Vinegar Hill House
Last week, for brunch, we tried Vinegar Hill House in Brooklyn Heights. As you may have read before, some friends and I are trying to rotate neighborhoods each weekend and sample the best brunch spots in New York. Vinegar Hill House was a nice treat! After a brief wait (they don’t take reservations), we were able to snag a table outside in the back. I had poached eggs with bacon and home fries — delicious! Now, a question for all of you egg-lovers: how do you like your eggs cooked? Scrambled? Sunny side up? Tell me — I’m curious!
Jewelry of the Month Club
Leave it to Elephantine — she found a way to make every girl’s dream come true. How? By creating her own Jewelry of the Month club. Sign up online through Etsy and for six months, you will receive a stunning piece of jewelry — 3 necklaces, 2 pairs of earrings and 1 bracelet — in the mail each month. Wouldn’t this make an incredible gift? Just think, you check your mail and mixed in with the bills and cards and magazines is a little black box containing a gold or silver surprise just for you. I’ll say it again: this is a fantastic idea!

Sibling rivalry
These adorable bear cubs are too cute for words! Caught wrestling with each other in Yosemite National Park as their mother (and other park-goers) looked on, they both seem oblivious to the attention they are attracting as they play. To them, it’s just another day in the park. 🙂

Trees and Travels
Where was the last place you traveled to? If you’re looking for ideas, spend some time browsing through Peggy Wong’s travelogues on bluepoolroad. On European holiday, she visits France, Denmark, Spain and more, narrating her journey through breathtaking photos of her experiences abroad. In case you’re wondering, Paris is next on my list. With a new job, my vacation plans got delayed, but my next travel adventure is not too far away! Tell me — what destination are you planning to visit next?
More Paris here, here and here.
