The weekend is here!

My dear readers, happy Friday! What do you have planned for this weekend? I’m hoping we see the end of this hot, humid air, and that fall officially arrives! I’m also hoping to check out the Atlantic Antic on Sunday in Brooklyn. Have you ever been? I will do my best to snap some pics while I’m there. Wishing each of you a lovely weekend ahead. Here, to get it started right, a few happy posts from around the web:

Sleep in stripes.

A wet willy for George.
Classic Ralph.
Gorgeous (and colorful!) botanicals.
A different kind of party animal.
Can’t stop listening to this duo. (Thanks Narry!)
Roasted tomato soup.
Brains are sexy.
Serenity now!
Words to remember.
Strawberry toast.
Pick yourself up.
Oh how I love O Design.
More weekend plans.

Brunch Page: Vinegar Hill House

Last week, for brunch, we tried Vinegar Hill House in Brooklyn Heights. As you may have read before, some friends and I are trying to rotate neighborhoods each weekend and sample the best brunch spots in New York. Vinegar Hill House was a nice treat! After a brief wait (they don’t take reservations), we were able to snag a table outside in the back. I had poached eggs with bacon and home fries — delicious! Now, a question for all of you egg-lovers: how do you like your eggs cooked? Scrambled? Sunny side up? Tell me — I’m curious!

Jewelry of the Month Club

Leave it to Elephantine — she found a way to make every girl’s dream come true. How? By creating her own Jewelry of the Month club. Sign up online through Etsy and for six months, you will receive a stunning piece of jewelry — 3 necklaces, 2 pairs of earrings and 1 bracelet — in the mail each month. Wouldn’t this make an incredible gift? Just think, you check your mail and mixed in with the bills and cards and magazines is a little black box containing a gold or silver surprise just for you. I’ll say it again: this is a fantastic idea!

Trees and Travels

Where was the last place you traveled to? If you’re looking for ideas, spend some time browsing through Peggy Wong’s travelogues on bluepoolroad. On European holiday, she visits France, Denmark, Spain and more, narrating her journey through breathtaking photos of her experiences abroad. In case you’re wondering, Paris is next on my list. With a new job, my vacation plans got delayed, but my next travel adventure is not too far away! Tell me — what destination are you planning to visit next?

More Paris here, here and here.
