As I mentioned on Friday, this weekend, the brunch tradition continued! Laiza, Matt and I tried Cookshop in Chelsea, thanks to a recommendation from AmyBlogsChow. The best part? My friend Lisa was able to join too! I ordered the huevos rancheros (pictured above), but it was tough to top the menu’s bread basket, which included a delicious assortment of donuts, buns and scones. Yum! Have you been to Cookshop before? What’s your favorite place in New York to eat brunch?

Gorgeous engagement pics
Such stunning engagement pics, don’t you think? I love the relaxed attitude this couple conveys, and I love her Madewell dress even more! They seem so sweet together, and like they’re having such fun. Did you take engagement photos before saying ‘I do’? What did you wear? How did you find the right setting to capture a special moment like this?

Happy weekend dear readers! This week went by so fast. What do you have planned for the next couple of days off? I am hoping to make it over to The Paris to catch a showing of Potiche starring Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu. It looks so cute! Also, this weekend, it’s my pick for brunch with Matt and Laiza. We’re trying Cookshop, thanks to a great recommendation from AmyBlogsChow! Have you ever been? Here, to get your weekend started right, a few happy posts from around the web:

Localize your art
The best way to add a personal touch to your art collection? Localize it of course! Thanks to designer Laura Belle from Oh Hi Shop, it’s fairly easy to do. Simply send her 20-25 words of your choice and she will work her magic to create a custom design of your piece. The words can be anything you want ā names, places, addresses, phrases ā if it has meaning to you, it goes in! Only you will appreciate the story and interpretation of it all. Isn’t that what art is all about?
