Can you imagine what New York City would look like underneath a sky full of stars? French photographer Thierry Cohen attempts to show exactly that by editing city scenes together with night skies that fall on the same latitudes. It’s magical, right? As a former country girl, I wouldn’t mind having the best of both worlds—the city skyline accompanied by billions of stars to look up at each night. Cohen’s work is on display at the Danziger Gallery in NYC in March, but come spring, there’s another option if you want to see the real deal: Star gazing on the High Line!

My darling readers: After spending the past week off the grid, I’m happy to report that I survived my big move from the Upper East Side to Brooklyn. Whew! Now, the unpacking begins—I have NO idea how I managed to squeeze so much stuff into my tiny, New York-sized apartment. My collection of magazines alone filled almost five boxes. Oops. 🙂 But everything went smoothly, and now I can focus on getting to know my new ‘hood.

My darling readers, it’s Friday! I’m so thrilled it’s the weekend—and also feeling a little nostalgic. It’s my last weekend living on the Upper East Side. Then, it’s off to Brooklyn for me! In tribute to the last five years, Matt and I have planned a UES-style send-off with plans to hit all my favorite neighborhood spots. Depending how productive I am with packing, I will share pics from the weekend next week. In the meantime, wishing you all a lovely weekend ahead. As a girl who once bought a roll of slice and bake cookies and made them one by one, one night at a time, this recipe is designed for me. The ingredients are simple, and it’s a smart idea for pulling together a quick—and tasty—treat.
