Alexa Chung for Madewell

What do you think of the vintage looks in Alexa Chung’s new fall collection for Madewell? Personally, I’m obsessed. I love the black and white checked dress (called the Dolores) the most, but I think that each look is appropriate for work and the weekend. Do you agree? Let me know your thoughts after taking a peek at Alexa’s entire collection here. I’d love to know which look you love!

The weekend is here!

It’s official ā€” fall has arrived! There’s nothing better than this time of year in New York. I love the crisp, dry air, the foliage in Central Park, and ā€” of course ā€” the fashion. Although this rain needs to go away soon! šŸ™‚ What do you have planned for the weekend? I’m hoping to check out this exhibit at the MoMA. I also really want to see MoneyBall. Are you a Brad Pitt fan? Are you going to see that film? Wishing each of you a lovely and relaxing weekend ahead. Here, to get it started right, a few happy posts from around the web:

An internet high five.

Meet the author of ‘The Submission’.

For those who love goats.

Love those Louboutins

Brightly bound.

Hot wheels.

An a cappella medley.

Ladies in red, red and more red. (Plus not one, but two cute kids!)

Can I get a witness?

Webcam for seniors.

Moby and Elly

Where I’ll be Sunday night.

Adele reinvented

Check it out ā€” it’s a new take on Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” from father/daughter team Jorge and Alexa Narvaez. What an adorable duet! Yes, I love this song, but this little girl’s passion and talent for performance is tough to beat. What do you think?

More Adele here and here.

Brunch Page: Freemans

Now that fall has arrived, I’m happy to say that my brunch tour of New York has resumed! I’ve blogged about it before ā€” every weekend, a couple of friends and I rotate and choose different brunch spots around the city that we want to try. This past weekend, our choice was Freemans on the Lower East Side. Have you been? I’ve only gone in for dinner and cocktails before, but never for brunch. It was delicious! What are your favorite brunch spots in New York? I need to add to my list of places to try!
