The weekend is here!

Another week gone by? I have no idea how that happened! Nonetheless, happy Friday my dear readers! How was your week? It is suddenly quite cold in New York ā€” looks like fall has officially arrived. This weekend, I have big plans to check out the Brooklyn Book Festival with Matt and help him spread the word about his new website, Critics & Writers. If you haven’t signed up, you should! šŸ™‚ Here, to get your weekend started right, a few happy posts from around the web:

Take a dip.

A different kind of doughnut.

In living color.

How to build a zoo

On uncertainty.

Vintage cars!

A birthday walk.

Wooden whale.

A pop-up dinner party!

Berry colorful.

A piece of history.

Vive le France.

One week away!

Kate Spade fall bags

Consider it a birthday treat to myself! Over Labor Day weekend, I celebrated turning another year older by splurging on the Kate Spade bag pictured above. No, I didn’t go for the adorable night owl bag (also pictured), but that’s mostly because I didn’t see it in the store! šŸ™‚ Instead, I fell in love with the Cobble Hill Penny. The charcoal gray color is the perfect fit for fall, don’t you think?

The Prom You Were Promised

What do you remember most about your high school prom? Such a milestone occasion at the age of 17! Tonight, I get to re-live this magical moment, thanks to a very clever fundraiser hosted by 826NYC. But “The Prom You Were Promised” isn’t your average corsage- and taffeta-wearing night out. In fact, this prom is hosted by SNL‘s Jason Sudeikis and DJed by Yeasayer, BAIO from Vampire Weekend and more. What a great excuse to get all gussied up! Even better? It’s for a good cause ā€” funds raised by 826NYC are dedicated to helping students ages 6 to 18 with their creative writing skills.
