As I mentioned Friday, over the weekend, I watched Rosemary’s Baby at the Film Forum. Terrifying? Completely. But in such a smart and entertaining way. I kept thinking of Woody Allen’s Manhattan Murder Mystery while I watched. Both films so brilliantly capture the fear of apartment living in New York: After all, how well do you really know your neighbors?
Aside from the film’s plot, I love Mia Farrow’s hair. First the bob, then that iconic pixie cut by Vidal Sassoon. Needless to say, when I got my hair cut later in the weekend, I was completely inspired by her bob!
Have you seen Rosemary’s Baby? What did you think?

Would you wallpaper your apartment?
Since my Brooklyn apartment is completely unpacked, I’ve been starting to think about little design flourishes that won’t break the bank. I love this temporary wallpaper from Hygge & West. It’s so brilliant! Every time I go to invest in something nice for my apartment, I hem and haw—mostly because that’s the problem: It’s most likely a temporary spot. But this pretty wallpaper is the perfect solution. A way to add color and style—without messing with my security deposit.
What do you think? Would you try this out?

The weekend is here!
Happy weekend, my darling readers! What do you have planned? I’m super excited (and scared) to report that I’m finally watching Rosemary’s Baby. Have you seen it? It’s playing at the Film Forum, and Matt and I are going to see it with friends. They’ve all seen it of course—I’m the only one who hasn’t. Yikes! Wishing you a wonderful—and relaxing—weekend ahead. Here, to get it started right, a few happy posts from around the web:
Mix and match popsicles.
Pretty in coral.
A journal I love.
Fold an origami elephant.
5-year-old fashionista. (So cute!)
Fourth of July cookies.
Currently reading.
Words to live by.
Painting lessons.
A gin sparkler. Yum!
Colorful shades
What color sunglasses do you wear in the summer? I’ve always opted for a classic pair of black, over-sized frames, but lately, I’ve been tempted by a more retro look. For example, these blue sunglasses from Madewell, or this pair of white frames from Lookmatic. It just seems like a fun, easy way to mix things up when the heat is on.
How about you? Would you buy a pair of sunglasses like these?
Diana, the movie
Have you watched the trailer for the new movie about Princess Di? I have slightly mixed feelings about turning her story into a film, but Naomi Watts is so talented and graceful—she seems to perfectly capture the title role. You can watch the full trailer here (the film isn’t due in theaters until September) and check out more images of the striking resemblance here.
Do you think you’ll watch this film? I’d love to know what you think!
