I (still) love Steve Martin

Ask any of my friends and they’ll tell you: one of my most major celebrity crushes has always been Steve Martin. Ever since I saw him in Father of the Bride, when I was in — wait for it — second grade, I just couldn’t resist his comedic talent and charm. 🙂

Fast forward to now, and I’m much more up to speed on the full range of his work. I’ve read his books, listened to his music, and seen many, many more of his movies. But last night, I will admit, was a movie first: I finally saw Steve Martin in The Jerk. On the big screen. In Brooklyn. I loved it.
What’s your favorite Steve Martin flick? Do you have a comedy hero? Do tell!

September Page: A toast!

Wow, September already! This summer sure did fly by. What do you love most about this month? There are so many lovely things about September—the first sight of foliage, the arrival of sweater weather, the return of fall TV. The air is crisper, and the evenings are a bit darker, which makes everything feel so cozy, and warm.

What are you most looking forward to this month?

Color Me Good: Ryan Gosling

Thanks to Say Yes to Hoboken, I stumbled upon this brilliant idea: a Ryan Gosling coloring book. I mean, could he be any dreamier? I love how most pages capture his various movie roles, but there’s also pages and pages to color of Ryan just being Ryan. For example, Ryan the humanitarian; or Ryan the dog lover.

Flip through the rest of the book here, and tell me — which pen and ink version of Ryan do you love the most? 🙂

More Ryan Gosling here and here.

I heart Ratatouille

So, I’m late to the party on this one—about five years late—but I finally saw Ratatouille over the weekend. I loved it! What a sweet, adorable, funny, clever film. I always have a difficult time determining my favorite Pixar movie, but upon seeing this, I can declare: Ratatouille is it.

What is your favorite Pixar film? Have you seen
them all?

PS—This film made me even more excited for Paris!
