Brunch Page: Cafe Cluny

I’ve fallen behind on my exploration of New York brunch spots these days (mainly because my good friend—and regular brunch date—moved away from New York!). But this weekend, the weather was perfect for relaxed, al fresco dining midday. I relied on a favorite: Café Cluny in the West Village. Have you been? The French-inspired food is delicious, and the people-watching, even better. The Breakfast Club Sandwich (served with French fries, of course) wins the award for favorite dish—a light and flavorful combination of fried eggs, bacon, avocado, spicy mayo and more.

Do you have a regular brunch spot where you live?

Kate Spade Saturday

Have you spent any time perusing Kate Spade’s new Saturday collection? I’m a little obsessed—mainly because it combines my two favorite things: Colorful fashions and an appreciation for the weekend. 🙂 Even more exciting, Saturday has decided to make it’s New York brick and mortar debut with four pop-up shops in the city. The kiosks combine a little bit of everything: Window and virtual shopping, and free delivery of anything you purchase from the site in one hour or less. Only in New York, right?

My friend Kristen and I checked it out over the weekend. I want to buy this, this and this

What do you think? Will you shop Saturday?

Casablanca

Over the weekend, Matt and I enjoyed a cozy (and relaxing!) movie night in. We wanted to watch a classic, and after 45 minutes of browsing, we discovered something crazy: I’d never seen Casablanca. So, that was our pick. What a gorgeously romantic film!

Is there a classic film that you know you should have seen by now, but still haven’t? Let me know in the comments below!

My darling readers, what do you have planned for the weekend? I’m looking forward to making it over to the MoMA and attempting to get in to see the Rain Room exhibit there. Have you been? It looks gorgeous! Wishing you a wonderful—and relaxing—weekend ahead. Here, to get it started right, a few happy posts from around the web:

Royal baby watch

Can you believe that the Kate Middleton is due to give birth in just about a month? Wow, the days since she first announced her pregnancy have flown by. And news broke this week that Pippa Middleton is in charge of planning a Royal Baby Shower for Kate. What fun!

I’m so enjoying counting down the days until this baby arrives. It makes me want to plan another royal get-together, like this one from two years ago when we celebrated Kate and Wills’ wedding day. 🙂

Are you keeping up with all the Royal baby news?
